To strengthen agriculture infrastructure in the country, Government of India has approved Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) of Rs.1.00 lakh crore for financing Agriculture Infrastructure projects at farm gates and aggregation points for all the supply chain services, e-marketing platform, warehouses, silos, pack houses, sorting & grading units, packing units, cold chains, primary processing centers and related logistics facilities. Under AIF, there is provision for collateral free term loan upto Rs. 2.00 crore and interest subvention of 3% on the term loan availed for creation of post harvest infrastructure.

   The detail guidelines of Agriculture Infrastructure Fund and procedure for availing this financing facility has been uploaded on Ministry website agricoop.gov.in. For wide publicity, information on AIF is also available at website nhb.gov.in. DAC&FW has prepared a dedicated portal agriinfra.dac.gov.in in for easy access of the applicants where applications can be uploaded directly without approaching any Bank/Financial Institution.
